Why are we launching LogX Pro?
Let’s quickly recap the evolution of LogX:
The initial launch
LogX launched its mainnet in July 2023. If you have been with us since Day 1, you would know that we have ebbed and flowed through various versions, trying to out-do our benchmarks with each iteration. What has remained constant is our vision of making DeFi trading bigger than CeFi, and our commitment towards bringing best execution of trades to our traders.
We started as an aggregator of perp DEXes on the Arbitrum mainnet aggregating liquidity across GMX and MUX protocols, eventually proceeding to add Gains, Hyperliquid and Orderly Network as the various sources of liquidity spanning across 150+ trading pairs.
From what we learned, being able to trade lots of trading pairs from a single screen, across multiple DEXes at optimised cost found an instant PMF. The only thing missing was to be able to take this offering to multiple chains beyond Arbitrum.
Expansion to other chains with our flagship “DAMN” pools
In our bid to truly become “the single frontend to trade perps across all of DeFi”, we started expanding to other chains in December 2023, starting with the Mantle Network. Given the majority of liquidity was concentrated on Arbitrum, the available liquidity for LogX to aggregate on other L2s was limited. As a result, we decided to launch our own native perps on these L2s with an innovative “Discrete Asset, Market Neutral” (DAMN) AMM pools.
These pools take in stable assets like USDT, USDC, wUSDM, etc. and enable oracle-based perp trading to traders. We started with the Mantle Network, and since then, have added 6 more chains including Linea, Manta and Mode. As of writing this, we are already looking forward to the launch of our DAMN pools on Blast.
Time to go deeper on trader segments with lazer-sharp focus
At LogX, we’ve identified two primary trader segments: pro traders desiring orderbook functionality and tools, and those seeking a simpler UX for multi-chain exploration. LogX Pro is our response to the needs of the former, offering a focused and superior product, while the OG LogX app continues to focus on the latter segment.
Bonus: A dedicated Twitter Account for LogX Pro
We heard you. All official comms regarding LogX Pro will happen through a dedicated Twitter Account here: https://twitter.com/LogX_Pro. The OG twitter account of LogX will primarily talk about all activities concerning the OG app. All important $LOGX airdrop updates will be shared from both the accounts.
FAQs
When is LogX Pro going live?
March 5th, 2024
At pro.logx.trade
Until what date will I be able to trade on Orderly through the current LogX app?
Until March 5th, after which you will receive clear prompts about LogX Pro, and your open trades will be visible on the Pro screen.
How can I access the Pro trading terminal?
You will see a distinct prompt to enter the Pro trading terminal on the LogX website (
https://www.logx.trade
). You will also see the “Orderbook” tab with a Pro badge on the top nav bar inside the LogX OG app.
Is LogX Pro different from the LogX aggregator I have been using to trade on Orderly, Hyperliquid, etc.?
Yes and No.
LogX Pro is different from the LogX aggregator in a way that LogX Pro will not provide AMM based liquidity sources like Gains, MUX, etc. It will, in fact, be laser focused on building a superior orderbook liquidity.
LogX Pro is different from the LogX aggregator in another way that it will no longer support Hyperliquid. The LogX Pro orderbook is going to source liquidity exclusively from Orderly Network and later on from some strategic market makers.
LogX Pro is same as the LogX aggregator in a way that just like aggregator, you will be able to trade on Orderly through LogX Pro, and earn dual benefits of using LogX as well as Orderly Network. In a nutshell, LogX Pro will continue to act as the broker frontend for Orderly Network like you are used to with the aggregator.
Another similarity between the two is that similar to the LogX aggregator, which was accessible from Arbitrum and Optimism, LogX Pro will also be accessible from these 2 chains itself.
So what is the roadmap of the OG LogX app that I have been using across multiple chain till now?
The OG LogX app will accelerate its focus on expanding our DAMN pools - to more chains, and going deeper with the communities of the existing chains, while the Pro app concentrates on orderbook trading.
Currently, our DAMN pools are present on Mantle, Manta, Linea, Mode, Kroma, Telos and Fuse.
In the coming few weeks, you will see us expanding to Blast, Arbitrum and a few more chains.
What happens to my open positions on hl, Gains, etc. if the aggregator is going away?
You can close your open positions on these platforms directly from their UI.
I am a Pro user. Will my rewards earned on the LogX OG app be migrated to LogX Pro?
The LogX OG app and LogX Pro both reward $LOGX tokens. There will NOT be separate tokens for the 2 products. This means, whatever points you have earned towards the $LOGX airdrop rewards till date will continue to belong to you.
As you are aware, the current points system is set to expire on the 5th of March as well. Till then, continue trading on our existing app (which currently runs aggregator on Arbitrum/Optimism and DAMN pools on other L2s). Come March 5th, we will publish a blog on the new rewards program, which will clearly detail out the process to earn $LOGX airdrop rewards through the OG app and the Pro app.
I have been trading on the Orderly Network through the aggregator. Will my balances and trade history be moved to LogX Pro?
Yes. All your interactions made with the Orderly Network till now will be visible as it is on LogX Pro since LogX Pro is powered by Orderly Network itself.
Stay tuned for the launch of LogX Pro on March 5th, 2024. Till then, continue trading on our orderbooks powered by the Orderly Network at: https://app.logx.trade/
